A 2nd Date for a Change
I was invited on a second date by accident this week. I heard my cell phone go off & when I looked at the number I did not recognize it. I called it, and it was the pleasant gentleman who owns the Catalina boat. It turns out he did not place the call to me then but the week before, however he immediately invited me out to dinner for last night.......We met at Woodys on the Water in Tacoma right next to the glass museum, one of my favorite locations. The food prices were very reasonable, and I enjoyed some flaky Halibut and a glass of wine. It took great pains for me to be patient and kind to this man. He is a good, decent man, who I unfortunately find very dull and boring. He ate very slowly and it took two laborious hours for him to finish his meal. I offered to help pay, but he politely acknowledged my offer and refused.....After we ate, I was taken aboard his lovely white and green Catalina boat. He keeps it very neat and clean, and it is the current love of his life. He offered to put in a movie for us to watch, but I was way beyond my tolerance level and told him I needed to go home.... I do not think I can spend much time with this man alone. He has offered to take my friends to go sailing, so perhaps it might be easier with other people around. I am sure this will never be a romance.......
